DocxPacer Coming to Chrome Web Store

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DocxPacer Chrome extension (“the extension”) and the docxpacer.xyz website (“the site”). By installing the extension or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. What DocxPacer does

DocxPacer is a browser extension that types the contents of a .docx file you choose into a Google Docs document open in your browser, at an adjustable pace. It is a productivity tool you operate on your own documents and your own Google account. You are responsible for the documents you create with it and for complying with any rules that apply to the work you produce.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for its intended purpose. You may not:

3. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you type, for how you use the output, and for following the academic, professional, or institutional rules that apply to you. DocxPacer is a tool; how you use it is your decision and your responsibility.

4. Pricing and billing

The core extension is free to install. Optional Pro plans (monthly, yearly, and lifetime) unlock additional usage. Prices are shown on the site and may change for new purchases; changes do not affect the price of an active subscription term you have already paid for.

When paid plans are available, billing is handled by a third-party payment processor. Your use of that checkout is also subject to the processor’s terms and privacy policy. Recurring plans renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and retain access through the end of the paid period. Refunds, where offered, are described at checkout.

5. Privacy

DocxPacer is built to keep your data on your device. What the extension touches, and what it never does, is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Third-party services

The extension interacts with Google Docs through your own browser session. DocxPacer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Your use of Google Docs is governed by Google’s own terms. We are not responsible for changes Google makes to Google Docs that affect how the extension works.

7. No warranty

The extension and site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every future version of Chrome or Google Docs.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocxPacer and its maker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or documents, arising from your use of or inability to use the extension or site. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access to paid features if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7, 8, and 10) will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
